Pre-orders get access to the game?

Hey guys,

I've wanted to back the game since before the game actually did it's KS campaign, but never really had the cash to do anything. Now I do, so I was wondering if pre-order people actually get access to the game already?

I tried looking for a FAQ or something this answer might be found in, but I couldn't find it anywhere.

Cheers!

Hi !

This a very, very good question =D

In fact, we hoped to finish the game for last december, then this summer. We organized a first alpha stage last September (for backers), and the opinions of players prompted us to modify parts of the concept.
But some tragic events (and discouragement - you know, they tell the last 10% are the hardest : this is true), in the spring, have made us late.
So those who pre-command should wait for the release of the final release. But we can not prevent them from playing with the alpha. So if you do not mind playing an unfinished game, you can pre-order and ask the key by email. If you are really motivated ^^

I'm well aware of these issues from the game I am working on myself. While developing Novus AEterno the developers of the engine we were using decided to turn it into a mobile only engine, effectively forcing us to restart development from the ground in another engine (Unity). Was very discouraging for us for a long time too, but now - a year later -  the game is much better than it ever could have been in the old engine! Don't really know why I am telling you this, I guess just to say that you should hang on through the hard times, hopefully there is something awesome and shiney on the other side.

Either way, good luck with development. I'll go get the game tomorrow, and send you guys a mail. Don't mind playing something unfinished, it's what I do almost every day :P.

Your game seems nice ! I love these times with so good space games grin_open (I would like to return to my teen years ^^)

Happy to meet someone who knows how much game dev is difficult. Hopefully our backers (and early players) are understanding. When GP will be finished, I'll write a big making of, with a big teaching : you must be in love with your project to finish it XD

You'll see we (in fact, Chmyke) have our gameplay loop. 2 years in the making. Now we're seeing the finish line. But this line is always longer than expected *sigh*.

Good luck to you, too !

Hello! I've been following this game for about a year, but there hasn't been an update for a few months now. I also pre-ordered several months ago, and would not mind playing the alpha to ease the wait in the meantime! Either way, hope everything is ok with development and that all goes smoothly in the coming months. This game looks amazing!  email - garvieltloken@yahoo.com

Hey Captain and AetherBlade,

i'm really happy to meet AetherBlade here,  indeed, Novus Aetherno is another game i kickstarted long time ago and waiting with patience.  i have a novus aetherno launcher somewhere on my computer,  it doesn't launch anything at all....   well,  let's wait.

i just went on the novus forum and saw the latest announcement from July 2016...  long time no see.

As GP,  no announcement at all since january of 2016 to give access to everyone ( good point by the way )

You should guys explain more what is going on every two month for exemple...  nothing happenned ?  just tell it !  it would avoid to people ( like i do a little for both your games ) to believe the gamedev is dead and we won't see the result of our hopes and money spent  (  risk we took we know )

not something every month,  but just once a three month to say,  "hello,  we are still alive and working on it",  or even  " not now,  we don't have the time or no money left to do it but we keep hoping " .  it would be better ( and more respectful ) for all players whom believed in your project.

i still believe in you,  courage.

^^

i was coming back on this forum time to time,  as i didn't lose faith in Chmyke.

If i knew you would post some such good news the day after my post,  perhaps i didn't post it at all :)

anyway, i'm really happy you are back on dev,  even from scratch,  for the better.

i will be happy to test stream all the new versions i'll have and give my oppinion live.

I lived with the release of " Rain World",  cool game but so hard and not very player friendly

see you  and  mes condoléances pour ta grand-mère.
